Vicki was born and raised in the Pacific NW. She graduated from Mt. Vernon HS in 1982 where she was recognized as a member of the honor society. In 1984 she graduated from cosmetology and soon launched her career as a hairdresser. Her passion and desire to help people plus her vast interest in “everything” Real Estate led her to a career she truly enjoys. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Jenny moved to Portland in 1995.  She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Travel and Tourism, with a minor in Spanish at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 1987.   She spent many years in Corporate Travel, working directly with clients, developing and implementing quality control and training procedures for Nike, ADP, and Novell, Inc.  She has been a licensed real estate agent in Oregon since 2007 and works directly with our Listing Clients to ensure every detail is attended to in the initiation, marketing, and ongoing communication related to properties listed with the Marc Fox Group.   Jenny lives in West Linn with her wonderful husband and 12-year-old son.  Their older son is currently studying at the University of Oregon and hopes to teach high school English one day.

Megan moved to the Portland area in 2003 from Mammoth Lakes, California, high in the eastern Sierra Nevada. She and her husband Phillip raised their two daughters there and followed them to Oregon when they both decided to attend the University of Oregon. Megan had been involved in real estate for several years prior to becoming an Oregonian and became licensed in Oregon in 2004. She has consistently received awards as a top producing broker, both as a buyer's agent and as a Designated Relocation Specialist. Megan has also earned platinum status for customer service through the QSC customer service training program for 100% client satisfaction. Megan and Philip live in Newberg and are very involved with Donate Life NorthWest, working for the awareness of organ and tissue donation. Their oldest daughter and her husband reside in Portland and their youngest daughter is a teacher in a small, rural village in Alaska.

Buying Land and New Construction >From the Ground Up

Buying land is different from buying a home, because you must resolve issues relative to land use restrictions, utilities, access and easements before building. When you locate land that seems right for your house, visit the local planning department before making an offer.

Ask whether city sewer, water and electricity are available. If not, you will need to calculate the expenses of installing a well and testing the soil for a septic system. The land will be zoned for residential, business, or agricultural purposes. Does the zoning permit you to build the house you want? Are there easements on the lot that will limit where you can build or how you can access the property? Ask about the long-range plans for use of the surrounding land. The land will be more attractive if the city intends to build a park or new school nearby. But if a six-lane highway or a waste treatment facility are in the city's future plans, you may decide to look elsewhere for a place to build your dream home.
